See the new trailer for the psychological thriller, ‘The Truth About Emanuel,’ starring Jessica Biel as a young mother whose world is disrupted by the title character. The critically acclaimed independent film will soon reach theaters. Catch the first glimpse. ‘The Truth About Emanuel’ was written, directed and produced by Francesca Gregorini (‘Tanner Hall’). It was previously titled ‘Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes.’ The tense and unnerving trailer gives the viewer just a taste of what is an unsettling dynamic between the two lead characters. Starring as the title character is the up-and-coming British actress, Kaya Scodelario. Emmanuel is a 17-year-old whose mother died giving birth to her. In the chilling voiceover she says she killed her mother, that her mother took her last breath as she took her first. Clearly troubled, she become obsessed with Linda, portrayed by Jessica Biel, the young mother of a newborn child who moves in next door. Linda just happens to have a strong resemblance to her late mother. She begins to involve herself in Linda’s life, and even becomes babysitter to her young child.
