Portuguese coach barely escapes Egypt violence

LISBON, Portugal (AP) -A Portuguese member of Al-Ahly's coaching staff says he ran for his life and made a narrow escape when fans stormed the field after an Egyptian match and caused a riot which left at least 74 people dead.
Pedro Barny, an assistant to Al-Ahly coach Manuel Jose, complained on Thursday that security forces took no action as the tension mounted during the game against Al-Masry in Port Said on Wednesday.
"The atmosphere was very aggressive. It was very intimidating for our team," Barny told Radiotelevisao Portuguesa in an interview in Cairo. "There were opposition fans walking up and down unchallenged in front of our bench during the game and the police did nothing."
The violence began when Al-Masry fans stormed the field following their team's 3-1 win against Cairo-based Al-Ahly and began attacking their rivals. Hundreds of Al-Ahly fans were driven into a narrow stadium exit where they were crushed against a locked gate.
"There was a charge (across the pitch) towards our fans who were in a corner of the stadium. Obviously, they ran into our players and coaching staff," Barny said. "I ran and ran to get away from it."
He said he was punched and kicked by fans as he sprinted to the changing room.
Barny said Al-Ahly players and coaching staff offered protection to their fans, some of them injured, by allowing them into their changing room.

I also spoke with the majority of my close business associates in the hope that they could recommend such a company. This did provide me with a few lines of enquiry to follow up however in the end I managed to obtain the best deal elsewhere.

Well as I am sure many of the readers of this article have found the internet is simply amazing when it comes to finding bargains. After spending a couple of days searching online and speaking with a number of companies I managed to secure a very fair deal. I can now sleep easy at night!

The condition of tinnitus can affect everybody, it doesn?t matter how old they are or how their health is. On the other hand, if you have experienced loud noises for many years, such as working at a sawmill or lumberyard, you may have chronic tinnitus. Hearing difficulties can be attributed to exposure to excessively loud music or sounds during your lifetime. You must be proactive in regard to doing whatever you can, including wearing ear protective equipment, to defend your hearing at all costs. If you listen to music through headphones, keep the volume at a reasonable level. If you already have tinnitus, and clearly hear the symptoms, these preventative measures may not be helpful.
Meniere?s disease is an additional possible cause of tinnitus, and it affects the inner ear. This is something that can affect people of any age, even children, though it?s most common in middle aged and older people. Those with this illness can also experience dizziness in addition to ringing in the ears. Motion sickness is a similar feeling to it, as it is also to do with the inner ear. Additionally, a feeling of pressure in the ear might be present. Most people with Meniere?s disease only experience ear related symptoms in one ear. Even though there is no cure for Meniere?s disease at this moment, the symptoms can often be controlled with medication.
People who have served in the military, especially under combat, are especially prone to tinnitus. This is one area where you often see tinnitus affecting younger people, as it usually affects middle aged people and older folks. If you were ever in the armed forces and you either sustained a head injury or were close to rapid gunfire, you may be experiencing tinnitus symptoms. Whilst this is a lot less severe than many other potential problems stemming from the military, it can still be a very disturbing experience. People who are in the military or were in it should have a word with their doctor if they have tinnitus symptoms to try and find some relief for it. If you are also getting hearing loss with your tinnitus you might be able to claim disability benefits.
Sometimes the doctors are confused by this condition, even though the person suffering from it can be well aware of the symptoms. Ultimately, the only way to really approach the issue is to try and reduce the symptoms as much as possible, unless there is a specific disorder behind it. Now that more people will be better educated about tinnitus, hopefully they will tell their doctor if they hear any odd noises in their ears.

Mitt Romney Savors His Victory in New Hampshire (ContributorNetwork)
COMMENTARY | Savoring his victory in the New Hampshire primary, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was understandably ebullient. He had been denied the same victory in one of his home states in 2008 by the then future nominee Sen. John McCain.
His victory speech, given before a room full of supporters, was-to employ an overused term -- Reaganesque. While it did not shy away from the problems that afflict the country, it did compare and contrast those problems -- and the man in the White House who is causing them -- with a brighter future and the man who intends to bring it about.
Romney did take a little time to stick a shiv in some of his opponents. "President Obama wants to put free enterprise on trial. In the last few days, we have seen some desperate Republicans join forces with him." Incredibly men like Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry are running to the left of Romney on the issue of free market capitalism. The Wall Street Journal calls Gingrich "Barack Hussein Gingrich" and suggests the former House Speaker is doing Romney a favor by airing the heartless "vulture capitalist" charges now so that the sting will not be as keen when Obama uses the same line in the fall.
Mind, Romney is only the presumptive nominee and not the actual nominee. There are still others in the race who would deny him that honor. Gingrich is already running an ad in socially conservative South Carolina that tells the voters there that Romney is a flip flopper on abortion. Romney insists that his views have changed on due moral reflection and not because they play better for a national candidate.
The question now arises, how will Romney play down south, in South Carolina and then Florida? Sen. Jim DeMint thinks he will do just fine in his state a week from Saturday. He may, however, have some explaining to do among Space Coast workers in Florida about lunar colonies and whether they are really "zany" or not.
If Romney can win in the south, the rationale for a Gingrich or a Perry or even a Santorum evaporates. Incredibly the not-Romney candidate will have never emerged and the several aspirants to that position will one by one drop out of the race. With Ron Paul a niche candidate, Romney will become the nominee in fact as well as in presumption.
